the creeper knew he should've been more vigilant of what seeds he ate..

A very impulsive piece of concept art(?), I just looked through my old art to add to this site and thought 'I haven't drawn Minecraft stuffs in a long, long while, and with the third (Honestly underwhelming) trailer out for the movie (That I have a lot of gripes with —that'll probably get it's own blog at some point), what a better time, eh?

And I get to practice more of the concept art style I recently discovered!!

So here's the allergic creeper and his annoying bee friend who just won't leave him alone, he's wishing to move out to the desert and live out his life as a cactus, with no dirt and mud and pollen!

The allergic idea courtesy of my dad, cuz' despite the fact that I completed this as-is and showed it to him in it's final form, my half-asleep brain somehow did not notice I made the creeper look allergic to his bee friend, like I don't know why I made the poor thing look so miserable but it's so fitting and I'm rolling with it lmao! >w<

I very well might make this into a mini comic or animation or something, I like these two. I could see them traveling the world together in search of a desert, only to find a mesa, but the creeper thinks 'good enough'. Shrugging off the dirt that clung to him, he starts rolling around in the orange sand with glee. Once he's a little less green, he hops over to a cactus, headbutts it in half and puts it on his head as he wonders deeper into the vibrant canyon, free from the pesky bee. But as he makes his way further, a new flower blossoms on his prickly hat, and the bee continues to follow along.

I actually like the creeper design they made for the movie, it's extremely basic, but at least they didn't make it a weird flesh monster or something, instead the movie creeper is just a bush. Even though they textured it to be covered in grass, which I guess means the creepers have fur that's evolved to look like grass? But I think it would've been funnier if it just looked like those fancy bushes, trimmed in the shape of a creeper.

I headcannon that creepers are just living dirt creatures that grow a variety of different plants within them to naturally blend in. Using lots of moss and grass, with bushes and small trees growing through some of the older ones.

I also like the idea that some creepers would go around collecting specific types of seeds to grow the perfect garden of camouflage on themselves and thair families. Maybe most creepers get seeds given to them from relatives when their young and by the time they're grown up and on their own, they're already camouflaged! uwu
